Well, after recently updating my mac to 10.7.2 it has decided not to boot up, and in like 1/100 times it would boot up. It makes the boot up noise, and the drive noise the instantly switches off with no video during that time. I inserted my Mac OS X install disk and tried holding down C and it did nothing, in 1/100 times i got the mac to turn on I restarted it holding CMD R and reinstalled lion, This did nothing. I ran disk utility and tried to verify the disk and it told me I had a corrupt HD and to boot up my laptop with the mac os x install disc but that wont work? so what do I do?

Try booting from an external drive with Mac OS X on it. Then see if you can at least view/backup your files from the internal HD.
